How long can a Honda Civic last?

I'm thinking about buying a used 2001 Honda Civic but it already has 201000 miles on it, does anyone know how long these cars last?

They're supposed to be reliable cars, but that is a lot of miles for any car to have. Unless it is dirt cheap and that's what you're looking for, I would pass.

There's no exact number. If that car has been driven gently and properly maintained, it could have another 100K left in it. On the other hand if it's been abused and/or neglected it could die tomorrow. Your best bet is to have a good mechanic look it over before giving the seller any money.

Any car, no matter the make, with 201,000 miles has just about reached the end of it's usable life. The electrics, suspension parts, exhaust system, and many other parts are close to being worn out. I would not advise buying this car.

The most a civic has lasted is 400,000 so you have a chance to having atleast 300,000 just maintain it right and good.

With just about everything, it lasts as long as you are willing to throw money at it. At this kind of mileage, it depends on how long you willing to spend money on repairs.
