How long does it take to learn to drive a manual transmission car?
I'm 17 and my sister gave me her 5 speed 2003 Honda Civic. I drove it for the first time I sort of got the hang of it. But my question is will i be able to master it where i can drive to school. Which starts August 19th. And also any tips for driving a manual?
Yes once you have a few hours driving around town you should be okay. As for tips, if you are on a hill/slope use the parking break as you let off the clutch and apply gas slowly. As you do this slowly release the brake. Also if you pop the clutch and stall the car, don't worry we have all done this before. Cheers!
A few hours should make you a master.
- Transmission going out on friend's 2004 Impala. Is it possible to install a manual transmission taken from a 1992 Honda Civic in this car? Not worth replacing trans on a car this old, but the engine and everything else are still perfect. My friend was able to get a free manual trans from a 1992 Honda Civic. But i'm not sure whether or not you can use a trans from a different vehicle
- I want to learn more about fixing up motorcycles. What's the first step I could take to do this? I have a 94 Honda Shadow VT600. For now I thought I'd learn how to clean my carburetor. I know I need a carb-kit but I'm not sure where's the best place to get one of those.
- How long does it take for a mechanic to finish my dirtbike? About 3 weeks ago I brought my dirtbike to a Honda shop to get repaired. I payed 900 to get the clutche adjusted, valve replaced, oil change, breaks change, a full time up, and pretty much everything to make the dirtbike pretty much "brand new". It's been 3 weeks since it's been in the shop going on 4, and I'm starting to get VERY impatient. I'm just wondering how long it takes to do all of this?
- How long will it take me to learn to drive a gearless scooter? I know how to ride a bicycle and want to learn to drive Honda Activa, any idea as to how long it will take me to do the same?
