How long would a 2004 Civic Hybrid last?
I want to buy a car and I don't have much money so I thinking of a 2004 Honda Civic Hybrid with 256,000 miles for $1,800. I live in Ohio. So these are my questions:
1. How much longer can this car last?
2. The car is 10 years old. Can it still be covered by hybrid warranty?
3. What is the exact cost of a Civic Hybrid battery?
I have 2003 ima, just bought 3 months ago. Cheap to run i'm getting around 450 miles on full tank (50 ltr). Mix motorway and local. My car got 92k miles. When i bought it ima light was on.
i removed battery terminals to reset it but came back after few miles. This happened a couple of times, but i kept driving it and after some time it just gone itself. Ima was working at that time too.
However, depending on where you live, uk or usa, if in uk i would say just buy a nice diesel car and if you want mine you can have it. The car is spot on without any problems…
Hybrid battery can be costly… Very costly. The cost of replacing that battery is equivalent to doing an engine swap, and that's just the hybrid battery alone! Add to the fact that it has 256,000 miles on it, you don't know how much the gas engine has left to live either. I wouldn't chance it. Add to the fact the that vintage Civic Hybrid did have issues with the battery, and this one might not be a good buy. My mechanic just had to replace the battery on his '04 Civic Hybrid for around $2600. To much complexity with expensive parts that will need repalcing soon with that many miles. Engine, tranny, battery, and don't forget electric motor have served their needs. All are very expensive to replace. Conventional civic would just have engine and tranny. Not worth it IMO at any price. They are also dogs once you put more than two people in them. Really anemic. I would recommend that if you want a hybrid, save up and buy a newer one with less miles.
Not long, you need to replace batteries and other things.
$1800 is barely enough for a pair of my office shoes. Are you serious? You want to put your life in car that costs that much?
Offer less $ Bear in mind there be worn brakes tires muffler battery (regular one)
and it may be burning oil.
This seller refunds $500 if you ship the old one to him

- How long will my Honda shadow 600 last? I just bought a 1995 Honda Shadow VLX 600. It has 24 thousand miles on it, got it for 1500$. It has no problems, no leaks, clean, no rust, been garage kept, regular oil changes, runs like a spanked monkey. Now i'm wondering if it will make 5000 more miles, or 30,000 more. What do bikes regularly make it to?
- How long will a 05 Cobalt last me? I found an 05 Cobalt with 137K miles on it. Does anyone know how long these cars last, some of the Honda's I know of can last past 200K. Will the Cobalt be as reliable?
- Roughly how much could I get from selling my hybrid car with a dead hybrid battery? I have a 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid with about 175k miles. I'm the second owner and there's nothing else wrong with it besides the dead hybrid battery. The battery is very expensive to replace and it's honestly just more of a financially smart decision to sell it rather than spending about 2,000 on a new battery. I just want to know what is a decent price to let it go for considering the hybrid battery is dead ultimately making it useless until replaced.
- How to drive a honda civic hybrid car with out hybrid battery? Bought a car about 4 months ago and the battery is now dead. I check to make sure its not the normal battery and Auto Zone said it was fine. I'm sure its the hybrid battery but i don't have the money to pay 1,000 or more for a battery on a car i just spent money on. Is there a way you can drive this car without the hybrid battery? Or dose anyone know a place to get these batteries cheaper?
