How many amps does a fuel pump for a 95 honda civic use?
I blew 2 fuel pumps already because I wired them to the a hard line in the battery.
Then I installed an in line fuse, but it was a 20 amp so the fuel pump still blew.
My guy said a fuel pump uses about 6 amps so I need a 7.5 amp fuse.
I'm wondering if I could use a 5 amp fuse because it's a very small engine and fuel pump.
Does anyone know what the stock amp draw should be?
Fuses, for the most part, protect wiring. *servicable* pump will only draw the amps needed to operate. No more.
- What kind of fuel does a honda generator use? Hi, this may be a stupid question but i'm a city slicker planning on campong and i want to buy a honda generator, What kind of fuel does it use? Where do i get it?
- Is the 1985 Honda CR 500 water pump gear shaft compatible with the 86-2001 Honda CR 500 water pump gear shaft? I have a 1985 CR 500 and the water pump gear shaft broke. It has been discontinued from Honda, and no one else has it. It is a metal gear. The one's for the 1986-2001 CR 500 are plastic. If I have to use plastic, I will. However, I prefer not to. If anyone knows where I can get the OEM 1985 Honda CR 500 gear shaft, I would forever be grateful.
- How many amps can I draw from an add on fuse circuit connected to the fuse box? I want to install an invertor on my 1996 Honda using a fuse add in circuit like this on: http://m.aliexpress.com/item-desc/702894978.html I do not want to install a relay off the battery so is this a safe option to draw 20amps? Though the fuse box. I only want to know if its safe to draw that much current though this method. I know all about the alternators limitions etc.
- Does the fuel pump on a 1994 Honda Shados stay going, or is it only to prime the carbs when starting? My Honda Blackbird is also carbureted with no fuel pump, therefore I don't see why it'd be necessary for a classic style V-twin. Is it on all the time while the engine is running, or is it just used in tandem with the starter?
