How much am i looking at for insurance?

Please don't make any rude comments because i've already had a lot of time to think abut my mistake, but i'm 19 years old with a pending dui. I'm working towards getting privileges but in order to do that i need a car and insurance, and i'm not sure if it depends on the type of insurance you have or what but i wrecked into a fire hydrant and i was with all state at the time, and it's about 5 grand to pay the fire hydrant off, not to mention i was a high risk driver. I don't have a new car yet and i know insurance depends on the type of car but let's just say it's a basic four door car, like a honda civic for example. I'm just looking for the general amount i'd be looking at.

The other answers are correct in saying that we can't tell you how much your insurance will cost. What I can tell you is that not everyone will be willing to insure you now. When you do find someone who will insure you, you can pretty much double (or triple) what you were paying before the accident/DUI, and you'll have a pretty good estimate of what insurance will cost for the next 3-5 years.

Insurance with a pending DUI? You're looking at somewhere between through the roof and astronomic. That's from the companies that will even offwr to quote a 19 year old with a DUI. Many won't even touch you.
