How much does a decent street race build cost for a highschooler?

A nice car maybe a sleep with just a tiny bit of upgrades to the outier but conservative mostly a modest to not that much upgrade to the engine or exhaust system

I'm in high school and honda civics are really popular around here so preferabally a honda civic and I want my car to last around 6-7 years

There are NEVER any guarantees that any old used car will last more than a week,
You buy the best car you can afford then just hope for the best.

FYI, street racing is stupid and dangerous, you can DIE in a crash, there's no "reset" or do overs in the real world, life is NOT a video game or a hollywood movie. Cheers.

there's nothing you can do to make a civic a cool or fast car
Closest production car Honda makes to fast and cool is a prelude
I'm highschooler too so I feel your pain (trying to build up my truck on minimal budget)
but a rx7 are a good bet
If ya want a sleeper
Get a old vw beattle shell and put a trirotary in it
You can get the motor and shell pretty cheap
And its not too difficult to install
Just have to have the knowledge how to do it
Or put compound turbos on a TDI jetta
you'll have a lot of fun with that

*important* its increadably dangerous and many precautions are needed
highly suggest a roll cage in anything you get planning to drive unsafely

And of course all the vehicles I have refured to are the Manuel transmission models…

  • WHAT STREET RACE CAR SHOULD I GET? I'm a girl and i'm really into cars. I'm getting a car and don't know what i should get. Can someone give me some examples of some good cars i can totally modify under 8k… No lame hondas please or rx8 since they break down too easily. I preffer a manual over a automatic. I was looking mostly at the wrx sti subies. But what are some others that look good. I don't want anything too old or ugly looking. What do you think about an acura integra? Or a rx7?
  • How much to build a motor? Just want a ball park of labor cost to build the internals of a motor or honda motor. Located in California. I want to go all motor build and put in aftermarket pistons, rods, camshaft, valvesprings/retainers.
  • How much does it cost to replace the timing belt on a 2004 Honda Element? I'm looking to buy my first car and I'm looking at a Used Honda Element. The only thing I'm concerned about it that the car has a lot of miles (200,000) and the timing belt hasn't been replaced. Generally, how much would that cost?
  • How much does it cost to redo a car interior? I have a 1998 honda civic. I was wondering how much it would cost to get the door panels redone. The material inside is cracking a bit and becoming soft. And the leather needs to be upholstered because its coming out a bit. side note: i need my window fixed. It came off track or whatever its called and won't roll down or up right. And on both sides there's a bit of gap between the door and the window. How much would all that cost
