How to defog outside condensation on windshield do I turn the AC on AND the heater?

Every morning when I drive to school there's a lot of condensation on the outside. I know my ac can remove condensation on the INSIDE but wnot remove the fog from the OUTSIDE I tried to get rid off that by turning on the heater UT it just fogged up the inside.
my question is, is it okay for my car (1995 Honda civic Ex) to keep the AC on while the heater is to defog my windshield? Or will that ruin or hurt the AC or car?
I heard the AC dehumidifies the air so please help it's hard to driv.
BTW I live in San Francisco if that makes any difference.

If you get condensation inside after you turned the heating on, you have soggy air filter. Probably smells as well, doesn't it? Have it replaced.
condensation on outside is removed using screen wipers.

Condensation on the outside? Blow warm air onto the screen.

The issues is that the windscreen is colder than the outside air, and below the "dew point" This makes condensation form on the glass as you drive along. Once you get the glass warmed up a little it will stop.

Windscreen wipers are also useful as it's just water on the glass. Putting those on intermittent wipe should keep the screen clear until the car warms up.

This is something that many people will ever see as it only happens in a humid AND cold climate, usually on mornings with a very heavy dew.
