How to evacuate ac gas of car?
Please anyone can help me to explain how to evacuate the ac system before recharging with R134. Should I have to evacuate from both sides ( high and low) At what negative pressure Do I have to evacuate. Tell me vacuum process goes by time or -psi. Which side I have to vacuum first high or low. Or both by same time. And what shoud be the pressure of r134 after refills on engine idling and when ac and car is off. On both sides high and low. I have honda civic 2004.
This is not a job for a hobby mechanic. You need a special machine for this. Take it to a garage!
I don't know what's a what, but the port that is not used for recharging is the port that you can use to evacuate the system, while it is running. Be careful because you don't want to damage it! It is ice cold coming out and I usually let it go for a good minute, then recharge with a class act refrigerant and oil combo. Ice cold, it will freeze your hand off! Use caution.

I kinda have a heavy foot, the rims are 1" bigger than stock and the car is due for it's next tune up this coming Monday. The car is rated at 28mpg combined when it was shiny back in 1998, and when I calculated mine i got 32 mpg combined, my calculation isn't wrong either as i have an mpg calculator
