How to get the anti theft system code for my 07 honda civic lx?
I took my car to Mieneke (NEVER AGIN) to get the ac charged. He said that I would need a new ac control and I would have to order the part from Honda. Ok cool. An hour and a half later I'm still waiting on them to pull my car around to the front and they finally decide to tell me that they can't get the code for the anti theft system to go off. They said that it was nothing that they did and I would have to pay the lock smith to come fix it in the morning and that I needed to call a ride to get home. Now I'm no mechanic but I do know that when you remove the battery and unplug fuses that can cause the anti theft system to think someone I trying to steal the car. Am I right o wrong? How do I get this fixed? I'm not paying for a locksmith to fix something I didn't break.
If it isn't written in your owner's manual (or you lost it), ask a Honda dealer.
- What fuse can I remove to prevent auto theft Honda Civic? I have a 1998 Honda Civic HX. It was recently stolen. Is there a fuse I can remove so that the car won't start? Would I be able to take it out when I park and install it when I'm ready to use the car (i.e. Work)?
