How to lower my car payment?
So I own a 2008 2-door Honda Civic coupe. The full payment for it is around $11,000 and roughly $373 monthly. At the time when I bought the car I really had no better options and had to make hasty decisions. Now that everything has smoothed out I find it ridiculous to be paying so much for a 2008. I'm 18 so my credit isn't this best (but its not bad) and because of that my mom said re-financing is out of the question. I also thought of trading it in but I already know that no company will want a 2008 that cost almost eleven-thousand. I pay on it faithfully and the monthly payment isn't the problem, its the fact that a used older car is costing me more than a newer model would. Is there any way I can lower the payment or trade it in?
The only way to get a lower payment is to refinance it. You could trade it in, but you are upside down by a few thousand dollars and that won't help your situation either. Best to just keep it.
Pay it off quick & then keep it.
If re-financing is out of the question, so is trading it.
You've got to pay off past bad decisions before you can make new bad decisions that you will later regret.
