How to modify a 1998 Honda Civic into a drift car?
Most Hondas from 1998 have a 4 cylinder motor
They go 0-60 in about 10 secs
They weigh about 2,900lbs
They are really slow but have potential
How would you up grade it into a drift car?
.Turbo charger. Super Charger.Cold air intake.Lower suspension.Tune suspension.Body kit.Blower.Drift tires. Tuned and modififed 4 cyc engine
But is this right?
Easiest way?
Sell the piece of **** and get a better car.
If its an ex, its pretty easy to swap the engines of those models into an si, which is gonna be necessary
Any other model lx etc. Just give up the dream of your car being fast.
If you have the Si your fine with no engine swap.
So start with the air intake. Easy and cheapest. Maybe exhaust next but now your already a grand or two in, and you have very minor improvements.
I mean
Throwing a turbo or super charger on that would be a waste, the money it'll take to do it might as well get a better car, like the 300zx 96 or the 3000gt (if you want old)
Those have turbos on it and all you have to do is upgrade. It'll be much cheaper with a higher output and a more l luxurious interior than a **** civic.
Like your engine will be so loud you won't hear your radio.
Throwing a supercharger on that is going to be outrageously expensive. Like you don't even understand.
Upgrading a civic is a waste of time bro

- Can a 16.L engine fit into a 1998 Honda Civic LX? (before doing engine swap)? I had an blown motor on my 1998 Honda Civic LX, I have new spark plugs, distributor cap and some other items, however, since the old spark plugs happened to be melted as well, I have no option other to do a engine swap. I've been doing some research, and it seems like I only have the 1.6L engine as a option. By the way, the blown motor is a D16Y8, and is automatic.

Change automatic transmission to manual. -How much will it cost all together and separately?
- What is a fast cheap automatic car to drag race with & modify? I don't got the car yet, It would be my first car but I want to know what I should I get that would be cheap to modify and run fast to drag, I know that Honda Civics that are year 2000 and lower are cheap to modify but most of them are Stick Shift.
