How to remove my Viper Alarm System w/ Remote Start?

Hi, I have someone purchasing my car in a few hours. It was pretty unexpected and I need to know how to remove my alarm plus my remote start to put into my new jeep. Can someone please help me do this. I'm in kind of a rush. Thank you very much. (If it helps it's a 00 Honda Civic and a Viper 5104 1-way, I don't know what brand the remote start is or where it's even located in the car though)

The control module is usually located under the dash. From there, you'll have to trace the wires from the control unit and disconnect them. Some of them may be spliced into other wires, depending on what features the alarm came with. The wires should be spliced into the neutral safety switch or ignition switch that's used for disabling the starter and working the remote starter feature. If it has door lock feature, it should tap into the door lock actuator wiring.Last but not least is the speaker for the siren. Its mounted under the hood or inside the inner fenderwell. If it were me, I would add $100-$200 to the price of the car, leave the alarm system in place, and buy a new alarm system for the new vehicle. Its much less of a pain in the a** that way.

  • Remote start = light fail? I have a 2013 Honda fit. About a week ago I went to a company to have a remote start installed on my car. A few weeks later, the upper blinker on the passenger side went out. Could this be a short caused by installing the remote start, or are they completely unrelated things? The car is barely 3 years old, certainly not old enough to be burning out lights already? About a month ago, sorry
  • Does dealerships install remote start? I want remote start on my car. Would the Honda dealership be able to do it or they don't do cosmetics?
  • What are the requirements for Viper Smart Start? I Have a 2000 Honda Civic Ex. And i'm thinking about getting the viper smart start, because i like and and i would really get a joy out of it. But i don't know what year cars it works on, is a 2000 to old? Or does it work for any car? And i have a check engine light on will that have any affect on it because my car runs fine.
  • How to install aftermarket alarm with power door locks? My car has power door locks however I don't think '02 Honda Civic LX came with the keyless entry module built in. I want to put in a keyless entry so that I don't have to lock/unlock the doors with the key. Isn't there something underneath the steering column that I can plug a "keyless receiver to? Since I have power door locks would I still need to do wiring of some sort? Just so you know, I'm somewhat handy and would want to save money doing it myself.
