I bought a civic with a d16z6 block and y8 head?
Okay I bought a 1996 Honda civic d16 with a d16z6 block but a y8 head. I wanna convert back to the d16z6 head what all would I need? Jumper harness? Bolts? Anything I would need to convert? The car is obd2 not sure about harness and I know the block is from 92-95 Honda. Which would be obd1 so please let me know all I would need.
I will ask you a question Honda produces cars even year designed to last 8 years. Beyond which they would like you to buy a new one. Why because they designed you current one to last just 8 years. Now it owes you nothing then you could afford to buy a new one.
- OBD1 cylinder head on OBD2 block? So I have a 97 Honda Accord with the F22b2 motor, it is obd2. Can I swap out my head for the F22b6 head from a 95 Odyssey that is obd1, and not have to worry about any rewiring or cutting or creating electricial problems down the road. Is it just plug and play or do minor modifications need to be made to get it to perform properly?
- I have a 1997 ex honda with a d16z6 in it, car not turning on? The car has been sitting on the same spot for almost 4 months. Or more. I knew the battery needed jumper cables so in the past week I did that just fine no problem at all. The other day I tried it won't work at all.(with the jumper cables) now my temperature gauge hits the roof without even turning on the car and makes this weird noise! What can be the problem?! The car won't even crank or anything! Just the lights on the dash turn on.
- Would a d16y8 head fit in a d16z6 block? I have a project 97 honda civic ek hatch that doesn't run cause the block is wiped out i found a d16z6 engine to buy but i don't want to rewire stuff so i'm wondering if the d16y8 head would fint on top the z6
- Need help Honda Civic D16Z6 P28 a02 wiring? The B1 pin on my Ecu was burnt out, and the guy who had the car before me had it wired to ground. When I look online, I find multiple different answers as to what this pin is supposed to be for, either igp ground or sometimes igp power from the main relay, which are complete opposite. Just need help figuring out why this burnt out and if it is actually supposed to be connected to ground. It is a 95 civic 2 door 5 speed with the d16z6.
