I have a 1993 Honda Civic DX that smells like pot?
I don't smoke pot, there's no part in vehicle, there's no stash, the smell is coming from the engine portion not the interior. My oil is perfectly fine, Michael it is perfectly fine, my hoses and belts are fine. I need help.
I had similar problems with my '02 EX and the problem was caused by fungus.
I would check for mold in the windshield washer fluid and hope it's not it because is very difficult to clean.
Then I'd start checking for hidden mold behind the mud guards, the inner side of the bumper, inside the fenders, behind the fairings, etc.
All above cover the case of "fresh" pot smell but if your case involves "smoked" pot then just concentrate on the exhaust line maybe starting from the catalytic converter cover and then checking all the rest components.
The most common location for burning smells in Honda 4 cylinders is from oil dripping on the exhaust pipe. Look for a black spot on the top of the exhaust near the firewall.

Check all the fluids, like radiator or trans fluid. Maybe even brake fluid is bad
- Scooter smells of raw gas after shutdown? Have checked for leaks, found none. Carb is not draining/overflowing. No fuel in exhaust. No drop in fuel consumption (over 80 mpg). Scooter runs fine, no hesitation, no loss of power. Have changed the oil and it is normal. 2005 Honda Vino 125. Started about a week ago. Thoughts? 2005 Yamaha Vino, my bad. Plugs are ok, no fuel, tan color. I replaced the fuel cap, fuel lines, petcock, carb bowl gasket and air filter. I do not know which part fixed the problem but the smell is gone.
