I have a 99 honda civic si I did a compression test and suspect it has low compression because of misfire?
So the first one came out as.180. Second one 180… Third piston 160… And the last final piston as…180 are my pistons good? Don't mean to sound like a rookie.
They should all be the same… That 3rd piston has something wrong with it… Could be any number of things…
also a misfire does NOT cause low compression… Low compression causes misfires
Misfires are usually caused by spark plugs, plug wires, bad fuel injector, intake manifold leaks, and possibly a bad front 02 sensor. Get it diagnosed if the spark plugs and plug wires don't fix it. Only use NGK or Denso spark plugs.
Valve bad. Head gasket broken ring. Could be lots of things. Do it again after a squirt of oil in each bore. If it's the same it's not the bores. Is it overheating?
You're fine ricer.
You are allowed about a 10% variation between cylinders. Your readings are fine. If you still have a misfire it's not because of compression. If the car has cheap spark plugs that is the first thing I would change. It should have iridium Nipondenso or Bosch spark plugs. DO NOT use Champion as the threads can bind up and strip the plug hole.
- Test light on positive lead on starter relay comes on when the motorcycle is off, when bike key is turn on, test light is off? Does this mean starter relay is bad? I'm trying to diagnose my electrical problem on a honda cbr f4. The lights turned on but when I tried to start bike all power shut off and now nothing powers on.
- Is the reason why a motorbike engine won't work in a car because they can't produce high torque at low RPM? I have a 1.3 litre Mitsubishi Colt. Maximum power output 94 BHP at 6000 rpm Maximum torque 92 FT/LB at 4000 rpm Honda 2017 CBR1000RR 1 litre Maximum Power output 189 HP at 13,000 RPM 85.6 FT/LB at 11,000rpm
- I was looking at q a 2003 Honda 750 ACE because it has low miles. But I was wondering about what I should look at because of that? It's 14 years old and only has 1,900 miles on it. That means it's more than likely been sitting a while. I haven't messaged the person about it yet but I was just wondering what I should look for if I did go and look at the bike? Any suggestions?
- My car won't start. Could it be because of low oil? For the past two days my car has been giving me some tourble when starting… It sort of does this chug chug chug before it starts and onces its started it keeps chugging for a couple of seconds even stops at times… So i checked under the hood (i'm no car wiz… I only know how to check the very basics) and noticed the oil level was below the bottom dot… Could this be my problem? I have a 99 Honda Civic (is 5w-30 oil ok?)
