I have a honda civic ex 98 automatic and I have a problem with shifter?

When I put it on drive the shifter moves lil bit which makes it have problem going. The shifter moves and the light were it says "D" dose not go on. When I press the gas it gives me problems because it don't stay in place anyone know what it can be? And how much would it cost me to fix it?

Possible the shifting cable bracket/mounting loose or cable is out of adjustment. I would say the cable need to be replaced due to the year (1998).

This is what the part look like and the part cost:

Edit: If you prefer to let dealer or repair shop repair the shifting cable. This will help to know how much part and labor cost where you're at. Labor is about 2 hrs x rate per hour + part cost (see the first link I've provided)
