I'm so confused about my car?
So the vin number says it's a 2008 Honda civic ex 4 Door sedan. The car has leather sterring wheel, seats, and heated seats and was sold to me as the ex-l sedan. The ex model in 2008 did not come with leather nor heated seats. Yet the DMV believes it's an ex. Am I missing something here?
It's a ten year old car, it doesn't make a difference at this point.
The dmv only classifies vehicles as they are shown, probably in the original title, and unless they are charging you extra, don't make a scene about it
You're missing nothing of consequence. The l did come with leather seats and that's what you bought.
You have a 10 year old car. It is NOT a pet. Get a girlfriend.
You are overthinking this. You know what you have
It's completely meaningless. My last car was an 85 Corolla, and in the ten years I owned it, I never knew if it was an LE, DX, or FX. And it never once made a bit of difference.
It's an old car. Nobody but you cares. When buying parts, go by what the VN number says.
But it IS an EX, which is the highest TRIM LEVEL. It will have just about every option standard. The Exs also get a more powerful engine. And the L is leather. When buying parts you would say civic ex.
It is what was known as the EX-L… See the source. Came with leather and heated driver and passenger seats. The straight EX had cloth seats and no heated seats.
At some point in the past, when a new owner was transferring the title & getting new plates, the person at the DMV asked what trim level the car was, and they simply said EX, so EX was put on the title, that'a all.
I bought a 2004 Hyundai Sonata GLS last year and that very thing happened to me. Since there was no 'trim level' listed on the title, they asked me. There are no markings on the car, to look at, to indicate if it's a 'base' , GLS, or LX, but I know it's a GLS by the options it has, so I told them it is a GLS and they added that to the title.
You could get the title amended if so desired. (125D1)
- Will a car dealership work with me if I'm gonna lease a new car, while trading in the car I have, which has an outstanding loan against it? The car I have now has a loan against it which is worth more than the trade in value of the car by about $5000. If me and a family member were BOTH looking to lease a new car (so 2 new cars), does anyone know if a dealership will be working to work with me in any way? Also the cars looking to be leased are not high end or luxury cars, they d be coming from a dealership like Honda, Toyota, or Subaru.
- Physics problem…so confused?! A Porsche challenges a Honda to a 400 m race. Because the Porsche's acceleration of 3.4 m/s2 is larger than the Honda's 3.0 m/s2, the Honda gets a 100 m head start - it is only 300 m from the finish line. Assume, somewhat unrealistically, that both cars can maintain these accelerations the entire distance. a) Who wins the race? A. Porsche B. Honda C. They finish at the same time D. It is impossible to determine Please explain the process of solving this problem in detail.

The guy I bought the car from said the flywheel is bad. I took it to a shop they said automatics do not have flywheels. Now the 2nd shop says the starter is out and possibly the flywheel. I need to know if i should purchase both the starter and flywheel or just the starter?
