I want a k20a motor? What year?

Ok i live in california and i was wondering if honda put the k20a motor in hondas that are in america? I want a 2001-2005 honda civic si hatchback coupe but specifically for that engine because (i'm not 100% sure) i think they put the k20a only for japan. I know for a fact the american honda cars came with the k20a3 but that is a slightly different motor that isn't as powerful (i don't know too much on how its different except the size of the engine). And if they only made them for people in japan then is it illegal to buy a k20a from japan and bring it over here to build in a 2001-2005 honda civic si coupe hatchback? Also one more question, what other regulations are there to building such a fast street legal car?

PS i'm not worried about emissions i can pass with my HHO generator Kit installed which is clean air. (i've tested it, it is a super clean gas for the environment.)

" i'm not worried about emissions i can pass with my HHO generator Kit installed which is clean "

Any credibility you might have previously had just went out the window with that asinine statement.

Also the K20A2 can be found in the RSX Type S
