I'm looking to buy a b16a vtech for 1991 honda civic dx? (not a hatchback)?

I'm looking to buy a b16a vtech for my 91 civic dx but i no nothing about this kinda stuff except what some friends have told me i would like to know what all i need and any advice also a place to get it installed, i live in Washington state, i've been looking on the enternet but can't find anything. So if you can help me out thank you

For the b16a get the 1st Gen b16a, that comes with obd0 just like your car and has a cable transmission, it would be cheaper to get one with a s4c transmission without the lsd, get some hasport efb1 mounts they are for cable transmissions. Here is a link

So, you have the four door. It is the same as the hatchback to install. You'll need engine, tranny, hydraulic clutch, axles, VTEC harness. I hope I haven't forgotten anything but those are the major parts

  • I'm thinking about doing an engine swap. B series vtech or K series vtech? I have a 2000 honda ek coupe with a d series vtech, but I'm looking to upgrade the power without the use of forced induction. My best bet is an engine swap but I'm still deciding between a b20 vtech or a k20 vtech. Which one would give me more power and what parts will I need?
  • We have a 2001 Honda civic ulx vtech? We have a 2001 Honda civic ulx vtech. So it has new water pump new timing belt new balance shaft belt and crank position sensor new spark plugs new valve cover gasket. It was over heating but hasn't since we replaced the water pump. If you give it gas it has a lil hesitation taking off, but once you get going it's fine up to 60mph. If you press down on the gas to try an get up to speed limit when it hits 3000 rpms it surges an loses power. Any thoughts
  • Should I just buy a Honda civic hatchback LX CVT or lease it? It's pretty inexpensive compared to other cars, but I don't know about wanting to drive it for a long time. How much am I "losing" compared to buying if I lease it? It's around $2000 down and $180~ a month for 36 months + return fee, etc. If I do end up purchasing it at the end of the lease contract, I wouldn t lose as much right? If I do buy I have $4000 for the down and the APR is 2.7-2.99%.
  • On average how much horsepower would a short-ram intake give my 1991 honda civic hatchback? (engine: D15b7)? Just wondering how much horsepower a short-ram intake would give my civic, I know it depends on the quality of the intake i'm just wanting an estimate.
