Is $20,000 for a 2014 Honda Civic Sedan a good deal?

I was at the dealer today and the lowest they would go was $20,000 (this is including all fees such as processing fees, etc…). I'm assuming these are around $2,300 dollars so the car price would be around $17,700. Is that a good deal considering they won't go any lower than that what-so-ever. Could I get less at another dealership or when the 2015 models come out?

When the '15s come out you will def. Find a '14 for cheaper. Dealers would be trying to unload their previous model years. My parents got a 2010 Prius(built in 09, so it was one of the first to arrive) in 2011, the dealer took $3500 off the original tag and offered 0% APR before negotiation.

Also the base LX models are $17,000 so unless your getting a EX/EX-L/SI you're not getting any deal.

Check with Truecar.com and Edmunds.com. You can see what other people are paying and see what deals the manufacturer is offering, which is most likely what you got -- a ready-made deal. These manufacturer-sponsored deals are offered by all Honda dealers, so there won't be much of a difference between the deal you get at one dealer versus another.

You FAIL to state the model or options (DX? HF? LX? Satnav? Obviously not an Si) -- both of which are critically important to determining if you are getting ripped off, of getting SUPER ripped off. But let's assume it's a common LX. You are getting SUPER RIPPED OFF. There should be little or NO "fees", depending on the state or province you are in. I paid ZERO dealer fees when I bought my last Civic. In my state, I paid only 3% excise tax, and that was 30 days later when I actually registered the vehicle.

You're being screwed. Go elsewhere.

  • Would you purchase a 2004 Honda pilot for $6,000.000 that has 216,000 miles on it? I'm just browsing online looking at cars for sale and a lot of them have 200k or more miles on them and they want $4,000 or more. Why do people sale their cars for such a high price with a lot of miles on them? Its not just Hondas its all types of cars private and dealers as well
  • Bike guys. 92 Honda Shadow. 22,000 miles. Asking $1200. Good deal or not? I'm totally new to street bikes, although I've ridden dirtbikes a lot. Just looking for any insights on the bike itself (I've heard they're fun and reliable) and thoughts on the pricing. I'm not looking for websites or anything, I've already done some research. I'm looking for actual experience.
  • 2008 Honda Fit with 66,000 miles on it for $5,000? Is this a good deal? I need to buy a new car and today I got an offer on a 2008 Honda Fit with 66,000 miles on it for $5,000. I'm a 19 year old girl and I know nothing about cars D: Are Honda Fits good cars? Should I buy this with so many miles already on it? Also, I like to travel. Will this car be safe to drive long distances?
  • Should i buy a Scion 2014 or a Honda Civic si 2014 Sedan? I like both cars, My reason for liking the Tc is that the Car looks nice and its sport and inexpensive. However, The fact that its a Coupe and it only has 179 horsepower that just throws it off right there. I like the honda civic si because it offers 4 doors and its looks nice.
