Is a Honda Civic a good first car?

My parents have been looking for a car for me (I'm 17) for the past couple of months. Their price range was around $10k so we've been looking at quite a few used cars, but none have really been that great.
Today we found a used 2012 Honda Civic Coupe EX for $14.5k. It even has navigation and a sunroof. Do you think it's a good deal? And do you think it would be a good first car?

Yea that's an awesome safe and economical car as well a fun car especially because is a coupe and is also fast and so reliable too. So go for it

My first(and current car) is a 2011 civic coupe. Gas mileage is like 35, they're easily customizable and look cool in my opinion. They commute well and Hondas have a reputation for long-lasting engines. You can always trick it out with a K24 when you feel the need for an upgrade.

Yeah for a kid fist driving great on gas insurance is cheap and if you damage it parts are also cheap. Price wise doent know look up kelly blue book for that.
