Is it a good deal to buy brand new honda civic 2015 for $18000 OR brand new honda civic 2016 for $22,500?
I chose 2015 honda civic for $18000 because I wanted to keep my monthly payments low. Did I save money here?
You should've save and got a old Honda out Toyota them card last a really long time
If it matches your budget better, it's the smart deal.
It is obviously why you call yourself Curious2much. Relax and enjoy your new Honda, you did fine.
That depends on how long you keep the car. Today it's a one year old model and if you sell it within a year or two you'll lose what you saved, or more, on the selling price. Keep it for six or more years and resale value doesn't doesn't change much for a year older car so you will have saved a few thousand.
You've pretty much just avoided the 1 year of depreciation, which is considerable for the first 3-5 years and the depreciation caused by the transition from retail price to wholesale price. Not bad. If there were significant savings for buying a 3-5 year old car over a 1 year old car, I would do that instead if I wanted something relatively new.
- What brand new car can I walk out with $19,500? I asked a previous question about buying a Honda CR Z but that's probably out of reach so If I could walk out the door with a car for only $19,500 that'd be great. ( $15,000 loan 4% interest and $5,000 down payment) What are some suggestion? Some makes I'm interested in is Mazda, Hyundai, Honda, & Nissan. Since I've driven big trucks most I'm interested in compact cars. Maybe like a coupe or hatch back or something like a Veloster.
- Is the 1985 Honda CR 500 water pump gear shaft compatible with the 86-2001 Honda CR 500 water pump gear shaft? I have a 1985 CR 500 and the water pump gear shaft broke. It has been discontinued from Honda, and no one else has it. It is a metal gear. The one's for the 1986-2001 CR 500 are plastic. If I have to use plastic, I will. However, I prefer not to. If anyone knows where I can get the OEM 1985 Honda CR 500 gear shaft, I would forever be grateful.
