My 2009 honda civic lx sedan won't start or turn on?
I just brought a 2009 honda civic lx from my neighbor and I like the car now it needs a fee repairs so I can't drive it just yet but when I went to start it up and listen to the radio it wouldn't turn on or start… What could be the problem?
Buy a new battery Or get a charger and charge the one you have.
The corrected terminology so anybody can understand clearly the vehicle problem instead of guessing or go to the next question:
1- Won't crank would be the same with "Clicking" and won't turning over, the same with "Not even clicking" or "Nothing".
2- Won't run, won't start or won't stay running, crank but won't run, running then quit, turn over but won't run, turn over but won't start.
Turn on is using on components like switches, fans, starter, AC compressor, some sensors, lights, fuel pump.Etc. So according to your question, the vehicle has two problems: no cranking and won't start. Have you done anything or checking into the problem(s) What have you done?
The first thing I would do is check the fuses and relays, the second thing is to check the state of charge of the battery. Then check the battery cables and its terminals, then check and see if you have power at the starter when the ignition is in the start position. Do not forget to check the starter cable and its wiring. Be sure to check the functions of the ignition switch. You may have a malfunctioned fuel pump.
Check and see if you have spark at the spark plugs, fuel pressure reading or at least hear the fuel pump is running. How about the Immobilizer system? Any light flashing, blinking on the dash cluster? Any code(s) has been retrieved? What is it?
That's all of the ideas I can give it to you for now. Vehicle has became more and more complicate for a DIY to diagnose and repair without proper training or having the right diagnosis tools or equipments. It'll be really hard to diagnose the right ways in order to find the exact causes. If for some reasons: Either you don't have the tools or the time and equipment or do not know how a particular system works then get someone who knows how or get professional help. Parts now-a-days are expensive. HTH
Edit: E mail if you have more question after the vehicle diagnosed for the problems
