Have you checked anything at all to see what the problem might be? If so, tell us what you checked.

A-t-il une quantité efficace de liquide de radiateur? Si non, cela pourrait être votre problème

Check the radiator fluid level ( if it is just water it may have frozen ) , if it is low, or empty, you need to find out how the fluid was lost. It can be a hole in the radiator, a hole in the hose, a blown head gasket ( loads of white smoke out the tailpipe ) , or a cracked head / block ( check your oil to see if it is milky looking ) . If the fluid is OK it may be the water pump. Is the belt on the pulley? Any leakage around it? You may need to get a new pump. Some cars you may need to check if the radiator fan is working.

You got to tell us more about it. The more you type the easier it is for us to figure out what the problem is. So write a BOOK. Also your average air temperature and traffic patterns you drive in in YOUR AREA. If you are lazy about telling us stuff, we give you the same effort in the reply.

  • Why is my 1998 Honda civic lx still overheating? I've replaced the thermostat, water pump, timing belt, flushed the radiator and done a coolant test to check for gasses and all is good. The fan is wire up so it automatically comes on when ignition is turned on and is blowing the correct way. Do I need to try a new radiator cap or radiator? Engine light is on but it's for a 02 sensor. Any help is appreciated.
  • I'm driving a 96 honda civic and my car has been shaking and overheating? I have check for leaks and everything is fine but i do have a rusted spark plug, i'm wondering if that may be the cause of shaking and excessive overheating to the point i'm driving with the heater on all the time. • My 2001 Honda Civic is overheating and I can't figure out why? I have replaced the radiator cap, coolant reservoir, and thermostat. Also, I check the fans at various times and everytime they are running fine. Lastly, I'm not sure if this information helps, but I live in southern Louisiana where it is almost always hot. I'm a poor 25 year old female college student and I have no idea what else to do.
