My car is squealing when i accelerate?
I have a 2002 honda civic and i just got my brake pads replaced, rotors replaced and brake fluid flushed and since getting it back my car squeals from time to time when i'm accelerating. It sounds like its coming from the right side of the vehicle when I'm driving. Any ideas what it could be and how much it would cost?
Alternator belt is not tight enough. Just needs tightening. Probably a 15 min job so probably 50 bucks (maybe less depending on mechanics night last night) will cover it.
That is most likely a belt. Your car will still function alright even though it sounds bad. Probably a quick belt change on the alternator… Or maybe the air conditioning… Will shut it right up.
Most likely just your belt slipping happens allot to older cars when it gets wet at all

- Squealing '04 Honda Civic? Okay so my car makes a very high pitched squealing sound whenever I start it and turn the steering wheel, even it is in park and I turn the wheel it squeals! This stops after I pick up speed and usually only happens when the car has been sitting overnight or when I get off work.
