My HID bulb won't turn on?
I have a 2012 Honda Civic with aftermarket projector lights. I had HID's installed over a year ago, and my drivers side bulb doesn't turn on. For the past 5-6 months, I noticed that when I start my car, sometimes either the drivers side or passengers side bulb doesn't turn on. So I turn my lights off, and then turn them on and they are fine. But today, my drivers side refuses to turn on. It flickers for just about half of a second and thats it. What could be the problem? Could I have already blown the bulb? Any advice would be good. I didn't install these HID's on my own. I had an auto light shop do it for me.
HID's take a lot of power to turn on, that is why you see new vehicles with daytime running lights that are LED's. Almost no power draw with LED's. So to have them installed like you do and have them act as daytime running lights and night lights is hard on them, especially since your car didn't come with them. Compare your battery size to a domestic cars battery, this will help you understand. So what could be wrong you say? Almost 100% it's not the bulb as it's not really a bulb but I would put my money on it that it is the ballast, this runs the HID, you have a ballast for each light and if you follow the wires you will find it.

- Motorbike bulb wattage and indicators flashing faster? I have a honda motorbike that takes 12v 21w indicator bulbs one bulb blew so nearest place i could get bulbs only had 12v 10w bulbs so i bought 2 bulbs and replaced both front bulbs with 12v 10w as i had only just bought the bike i'm wondering does the fact that i replaced 21w bulbs with 10w bulbs make the indicators flash faster i have some people say yes and others say no it's only the electrical draw the bulb takes and dosent effect the speed of the indicators flashing
- Is it safe to put an HID bulb 6000k or 8000k on my current HID that is 4300k? I'm not sure what heat is my stock HID but I'm assuming It's 5000k or 4300k since it is still bright yellow and not on the bluish side. I was wondering do I just buy the d4s bulb? Or do I have to get a kit? What are the avaerage prices and are some of them bad quality ones? I don't know anything about lights I'm certainly not going to change em myself but have someone do it. This is for 2013 honda crz ex model low beam
- What size bulb? Hids 2001 Honda civic lx coupe? I'm trying to buy Hids for my 2001 Honda civic lx but I don't know witch size bulbs to get. I heard they were 9003. But I wanted to make sure before I bought them.
- Right Headlight went out. I replaced both with 6k hid lights. Hid kit components are all brand new. Right headlight still didn't turn on? It's 91 Honda Civic sedan. Every other light works except that one headlight that isn't turning on as if it wasn't getting any current or something. High beams don't turn it on either.
