My Serpentine belt too small or?
I bought a 2006 Honda Civic ex not too long ago and I'm changing out all of the old stuff like oil and basic stuff, but I've encountered an issue. The serpentine belt on my car is smaller than the parts you d find in a parts store. Went to a few different ones and same thing. Is the original belt on my car just too small?(which was a hassle to put on) or do I get the ones that is recommended? Like would it be too loose or should I get a generic belt around the length of the original belt? I'm not a master mechanic but I can get simple stuff done.
It's not too small, you just don't know how to put it on.
When you buy the belt be sure to specify if the car has air conditioning or not. Belt will be longer for a car with AC.
Always go with the recommended size.
Looks like you can't get simple stuff done. Find the routing chart that shows how the belt goes on. You're probably not getting that right if the new belt from an auto parts store doesn't fit.
You may need to go to the dealer for the right belt. Honda changes things on a given year two or more times so the change mite not show in an American cross over book.
Sometime ago I had to replace my belt in my car and it looked longer or bigger then needed by the time we had it all put togather it fit. I suggest that you either watch youtube or have a reg.mechanic do it
- Small parts assembly for Ohio? I'm looking for a specific part time job. I believe it is for Honda, in the Sydney/Anna, Ohio area. It has you assembling small rubber and foam parts to be used in the production of cars. I remember a childhood friend of mine whose mom did it a long time ago, and someone I work with knows someone who did it too. I would very much appreciate it if someone knows what I'm talking about, and may be able to help. I know it is kinda vague.
- Small honda 5.5 engine shaft PTO attachment? I recently found a small 5.5 honda engone in my garage, and when i was running it, i noticed that the shaft wasn't spinning fast at all, then i noticed this weird circular thing bolted onto it, and it had its separate oil fill hole… What is this? How do i take it off?! I don't want to take it off and mess it up
- Difference between driving in a big car and a small car? So I've been practice driving with my mom's Honda pilot. What is different in a small car when driving. Do I have to pull that ebreak when parked on hill and downhill. I'd have to pay this driving ed place to use their car and a sponser. Also i'm so frustrated I can't get parallel parking at all.
- Honda cbr 125, 2007 too small for me? I'm 5'9 and weight 170lbs, I feel like my motorcycle is too small for me, what bike would be better for my size? I have 2 years riding experience, I'm 18.
