New driver: car and insurance
I'm currently a 17 year old female living in Toronto, Ontario. I'm interested in buying a 2006 Honda Civic Coupe but before I buy it I took it upon myself to look at car insurance quotes. When I did, companies were saying it will cost roughly around 6,000/year which is more than the car I'm trying to buy for costing $3,500. Can someone help me with my problem or suggest vehicles with lower insurance rates considering since I only make $250/month part time as a high school student.
California insurance agent here. What I do is recommend new and young drivers have older vehicles that do not require comp and collision (full coverage). Just get the liability coverage. Aka only get coverage that pays for other peoples injuries and property damage and get no coverage on yourself or your vehicle. And get a vehicle with a high safety rating that's not worth a lot of money.
- What car insurance would be best for a new driver? I'm going to get my drivers license and after that, God willingly I will save up money from my job and get the car of mt dreams, a honda lol I will be 24 soon.
- How much does insurance cost for a new driver? Wondering how much insurance for a new driver would be with a novice lisense, i live in BC Canada, i'm wondering what it would cost monthly to insure a car worth under $4000, like an old early 90s Honda or Toyota sedan, lemme know what you pay for insurance, what you drive, and what state or province you live in
- Got a car, no life and wanna drive away to somewhere new and start a new life but how? I'm older, my parents are getting elderly. My sibling is in rehab and my family onlycares about him. I have no friends, no kids and i'm tired of living in my state for 35 years. Seeing the same ppl, same buildings, ugh. I just bought a new honda and honestly i just wanna get in my car and go. I have no money tho and only have a associate degree. What should i do? Apply to a college out of state? Just leave?
- Car insurance compared to small truck insurance? I have a Honda Fit right now, but am interested in buying a new small four-wheel drive truck. How do insurance rates generally compare (in Ontario) between a subcompact car and a small truck?
