On a 99 Honda Civic, Is the steering joint b on the steering column the same on PS and non ps?

PS= Power Steering
Non PS = Non powersteering
I have a 99 Honda Civic LX with powersteering, but I'm converting it to a manual rack. So is there a different in the output/input of the steering joint b of the steering column? You can find what part i'm talking about if you go here. Its part number 4…

Added (1). The reason i'm asking is because the prices are the exact same, but I was told I need the manual steering joint.

You'll need a u-joint from a non power steering. The P/S and non P/S u-joints are not the same size and splines. Same price may be, but the part numbers are different in my book.

Do you have the part number for the u-joint from a non powersteering?

  • 03 Honda Pilot, clicking sound in steering column? When I press the brake, while in park, I hear a click in the steering column. It also clicks when I take my foot off the brake after putting in park and the vehicle does the normal roll back or forward depending on incline. Should I be concerned? It doesn't happen any other time.
  • Does power steering fluid get hot if the car is just running and the steering isn't being used? If the pump is just spinning, recirculating fluid and nothing else… Would it still get hot? I had to bypass the pump from the rack and have the fluid recirculate. Would the pump get hot from just spinning? I know 8th gen Honda's don't have a cooler for the power steering anyways.
  • Power steering fluid leaking from the base of the steering column? I have a 2002 Honda Civic and I noticed that there's power steering fluid leaking at the base of the steering column. I can't find anything about it online and don't want to take it to a mechanic if its something that I can figure out. Could this be the rack and pinion? Or is it just something simple? Anybody dealt with this issue before?
  • Is it safe to drive my honda civic non stop everyday? My job requires me to drive 8hrs a day, then a co worker would take over and drive another 8hrs a day. In total the car would be driven 16 hrs a day all on the highway. Close to 1600kms a day. Is this going to destroy the car? I keep up with maintanace too.
