Loud hissing noise coming from car?

I had been driving for 2 hours when I pulled over and stopped for a min. As I began driving again, I suddenly heard this loud hissing noise coming from the rear of the car. It sounded like a rice cooker when it's releasing air, if that makes any sense. I thought it may have been coming from the speakers at first but the stereo was off.

So any clues what it could be? I was going to take the car on a road trip but this is worrying me. It's a 2 year old Honda Civic btw.

Added (1). The hissing suddenly stopped after about 15 seconds. None of the tires are flat or leaking air.

What car should I buy Dodge, Honda, Chevy?

This will be my first car. I'm planning to get a used car under 17,000$
After did some research, here are three cars that I'm considering to get

Honda civic 2012 or above
Dodge Dart 2013 or above
Chevy Sonic 2013

If these cars are not a good choice to get for a first car, Please feel free to leave any comment or thought about which car should I get instead of these three.

Added (1). So I replaced the alternator on my car a little less than a year ago. Recently, the battery light comes on only when my headlights are OFF. I just drive with my headlights on all the time now, so its not that big of a deal. What could it be?

1998 Honda Civic does not respond?

It was siting for a while, when I tried to jump start it, it started honking, I stopped, took out the battery, charged it, cleaned the connections, and put it back. When I try to start it, it will not respond, whatever I do. The honk works, and the emergency lights work, the door locker/unlooker does not. Nothing on the dash, nothing anywhere.
