Sometimes will start just fine
Sometimes it will start rough, and do one of two things:
1) idle low then recover
2) die
Most of the time I have to crank it for 5-10 seconds before I can even get one of the pistons to fire, then after giving it gas and enduring violent shaking, it will be able to fire all the cylinders and start "successfully".
Here is what I have tried:
- fuel filter replaced
- spark plugs replaced
- distributor cap and rotor replaced
- used fuel injector cleaner
- changed air filter
Additional details (maybe not relevant)
- leaking water pump, has 150k miles so I'm about to change timing belt and all systems that you change with that job. Coolant leaks so I keep my res filled with water (cause it's summer).
- Oil and oil filter have been changed recently
- Thermostat changed recently as well as coolant system flushed
I was wondering if anybody could tell me what's up with my car. I have a 2005 Honda Civic (standard) and just about 2 months ago I was driving and heard a clicking noise and all of a sudden my car lost power and it sounded like something blew. When I try to turn it over now nothing happens at all. All the oil is drained. Someone told me it could be a oil pump then someone else told me it could be a head gasket. Either way I'd like to get it fixed. Any idea on what it might be?
My dad randomly, without forewarning, decided to exclaim that I will be out of the house in a week. Okay, ******* great. Now, I have to look for a full-time job. I have about $2,000 in savings--but I was expecting to use that for school, which my dad had decided he wasn't going to pay for after buying a $40,000 Mercedes Benz (and then three Chevy trucks about ten years ago) when he already had a working Honda Civic.
So I'm in a tricky situation (and I hate that useless ************), and I need to get a full-time job really soon. Could I get one in two weeks?
I live in Ontario canada and I'll be turning 16 soon. I want to at least have my own car for when I get my g2 and can drive alone. My parents will help pay for a beater but don't want to spend to much as they payed for my sisters Honda civic when she turned 16. I would like a manual transmission stick shift and my budget is pretty low. Obviously used. What's a good first car for this that won't kill my insurance as I live in Canada and will most likely be double what my sister payed due to me being a guy.
So I have a new Honda Civic and I want to upgrade all the Exterior lights to LEDS, I was wondering if they have to be CANBUS or can I use regular LEDS? Also do the new civics have CANBUS in them?
I have a 98 honda civic cx
I need to buy:
-lug nuts
-front rotors
And other stuff because my clutch grinds at 3rd gear a little.
Is it best to buy online? Honda dealership? Or a store like autozone?
I'm take it to a mechanic and I would rather find good priced parts instead of the mechanic buying them.
Honda 98 civic cx
Has no power steering.
Don't worry about the money.
Just need to know which ones are the most reliable (in order from best to worst if possible please) and which one I should get! I'm 17 years old.
I need a new starter motor. My friend has one from his old 5 speed that he'll say he will ship to me. Before we waste any of his time. I want to know if the 5 speed starter motor will work on my automatic?
