Gear shift on automatic is hard to move?

I have a 1994 honda civic that my dad's best friend just sold to us. He said he replaced the transmission with a newer one. But recently on startup, it was hard to move the gear stick from park to drive. I needed to wiggle it a bit and I floored the brake to make sure it would change gear. What is the problem? How can I fix it and how much will it cost?

How long can a Honda Civic last?

I'm thinking about buying a used 2001 Honda Civic but it already has 201000 miles on it, does anyone know how long these cars last?

Car hiccup when giving it gas, what is the worst case scenario?

I have a 98 honda civic that just died on me and needed the spark replaced 2 weeks ago. Yesterday and this morning, it started having a hiccup every time I give it gas, like if i accelerating to pass a car, or going off a stop sign… It's gotten worse this morning compared to yesterday afternoon. The engine sounds normal, no lights come up… How fast should I get it checked? And how serious does this sound?

Difference between $38 5W20 vs $18 10W30 oil change?

2002 Honda civic with 128,000 miles that has used 5W20 for 14 years with the dealer. Finally sick of overpaying.
The Honda dealer wants $38 for oil change for 5W20. The local shop offers 10W30 for $18.
What happens if I go with the 10W30 if anything?
it's not exactly a fresh ride, lol.

Need to find the perfect car

I've been hunting for a car trying not to copy anyone i know. Bare in mind I've been drinking for 1 year so insurance prices are an issue and it can't be a Honda Civic or a mx5 or a mk2 golf. Looking for something fast and sporty looking.

Car window rolls up but now down?

Car window rolls up but now down?

Added (1). So I bought a 2003 Honda Civic and when I bought it the passenger side window wasn't working. So I replaced the window regulator and it's still not working. When the mechanic was replacing it and the window went down, he was able to roll it up with the passenger side switch. But now when I press down on the passenger side switch and the main switch, nothing happens. It's definitely not the window regulator, so what else could it be?

Should I keep my Honda Civic or sell it to buy a newer car?

I have a 1996 Honda Civic with around 240,000 miles on it. It has no major problems other than minor rust and aesthetic issues. I bought the car at 200,000 miles and have kept up to date on oil changes and regular maintenance like that, however the owners before me did not. The car has mainly been used to commute so most of the miles are highway. My question is will my car last me through my next 3-4 years of college or would I be better off selling the car while I can and buy something that s less of a gamble in terms of reliability for the next couple years?
