Is it a good thing to be saving up for a car when I'm 2 years away from driving?

I'm 14 years old and I've been having a mindset to get "all the good stuff" like an iPadbut I realize I can wait and that I should save up for a car since it's only a couple years away. I partly want to save up so I don't have to bus everywhere and have the comfort of my own vehicle. Also what type of ca should I save up for? I'm looking at Honda civic, Volkswagen beetle or golf, and my main car I want is MINI Cooper. I personally believe it is a smart idea to start saving since my parents aren't putting any money to it but I like having the independence of buying a car on my own. In other words I just want more opinions.

My car insurance is trying to rip me off?

So I got into an accident before thanksgiving. A man did a 360 on the highway after losing control of his car. He then hit me, and now my 2009 Honda Civic is totaled. He's clearly at fault. Problem is my insurance is trying to pay only $11000 (this includes sales tax) to my 12K car loan. Leaving me with nothing. What can I do now?

Drivers side window rolls up really slowly or gets suck?

I have a 05 honda civic ex. The window rolls down fine. But coming back up is really slow then when it hits a little more than half way it gains speed when closing. Once in a blue moon it gets stuck coming up maybe 7 inchs of the window is up. Only way i have fixed this was by just yanking it up with my hands and it starts working again. I have tried getting a spray bottle to lubricate in inside of the window (not wd40). But it did not work. Any ideas?

Best economical car for my situation?

I'm 19 years old and right now I have a 2001 Toyota Tacoma with 158k miles on it. I get around 23 mpg with it (which is great), but due to familial issues I want to give my parents the truck back after I purchase a vehicle for myself.

I'm applying for jobs at vet clinics in the area, and will be saving money until I can purchase a new or only slightly used vehicle with cash.

After 1-2 years of saving money, I will then be going to school to earn an applied sciences associates degree to become a vet tech. The school I have to go to is about 25 miles away from where I currently live, so I would really love to purchase a car that has around 35-40mpg.

Some cars i've been looking at are: Honda fits, Honda civics, Toyota corolla, Camry etc.

I need a back seat and lots of room in the car as I'm planning on keeping it for a while, and I have/will have quite a few pets. That's one reason I really like the Honda fit, because of the hatchback - there's tons of room back there. I ride horses so I will likely keep tack (saddles, etc) in there.

Also would love a car that is reliable and safe, obviously. Do you have any ideas or tips? What would be the best cars for me to look at in my area? I'm open to other suggestions besides what I mentioned above!

How do we know it's time for replacing a timing belt?

My 2002 Civic has over 200k miles on the odometer. I replaced the timing belt at 153k miles about just a few years ago at a Honda dealership. The Honda technician said that the belt carries a guarantee of 90k miles.

Was the 2001 Honda Civic recalled?

My family has had this car forever. I drive it now and I was wondering if it was recalled for the defective air bags? I live in Ohio if that helps any?
