I was able to get a brand new 2014 Honda civic first time buying. I have good credit around 700 but I have never own anything in my name or bought anything. Trade my old truck in and gave me 4500 for it but my payments are still 338$ for 72 months. I'm worried if I made the right decision.
My 1997 Honda Civic Ex has 127000 miles on it and has the d16y8 vtec engine and I was wondering if it will do any damage to hit 4000 rpms or more at every take off, such as traffic lights and stop?
I had my check engine light come on about 6 months ago and it said all 4 of my Pistons were misfiring. That problem was easily solved by replacing my vtec solenoid. However two days ago when I was coasting down a hill I saw my rpm's keep fluctuating from 2000-1000. I thought maybe it was just an old Honda thing that I never noticed before. Then my engine light came on today and was flashing. My friend looked at my engine about 3 weeks ago and said my spark plugs look like they need to be replaced soon. Is it as easy as that? I literally just checked my car yesterday. I put coolant and oil in (it's the right kind and amount, and it wasn't too low to start with) and I checked my transmission fluid. I got that changed less than a year ago. That was also good. I know I have a few oil leaks but none are too bad. My car idles weird for sure tho. When my Vetc S. Was going out it was an obvious misfire and the car was shaking. Now it doesn't feel quite as harsh, more like just weird idles. What do you suggest I do? Obviously get the problem fixed but a lot of places require a diagnostic check first. What are the most common things this can be?

I was thinking of buying one but was told they are extremely sore on fuel, worse than Subaru and evos. I like the thought of the speed and power but don't think I could afford half my wages on fuel every week
I feel like it would most likely be instant death because of the sudden stop and you cud slam your head on steering wheel, etc etc.
If somebody drove a 1995 Honda civic head on into a tree going 70-80 mph, what are their chances of dying?
Added (1). I keep being told that it would be like a 99% chance of instant death, especially with no air bag
I have a 1998 honda civic ex and had a d16y8. That motor was replaced with a d16y7 out of a 2000 honda civic. It has full exhuast, skunk2 d16y8 intake and a 76mm throttle body also skunk2. I replaced the iacv and converted it from 3 wire to 2 wire. It starts perfect but won't idle. It idles at 300 and goes up and down and almost dies and will die sometimes. Just sitting in driveway with no electrical load. I also replaced the stock y8 ecu with a y7 but I still have y8. So why won't it idle? I have no idea.

Later my dad checked my car amd found a crack in the manifold. And the rotor had a piece broken and the oxygen sensor was not tight and and looked all messed up…
Do you guys think its because of these problems?

I have a water leak on the driver's side and no clue where the leak is. Took it to an auto body shop and they checked all the rubber seals around windshield and doors. He found no rust and all seals were good. He pressured water over the car for several minutes and found no leak. When it rains my carpet is wet so I know there's a leak somewhere. Next step is the Honda dealer? I started noticing this leak after Pep Boys replaced a brake grommet. Would that have anything to do with this leaking problem?
I welcome any suggestions.

I'm very bummed, my engine ran perfectly fine with no problems as long as i've owned it, I just drove it yesterday. This morning for some stupid reason I listened to my dad and hosed down my whole engine bay after scrubbing it. I went to start it a few minutes later (I should have let it dry or not have soaked it in the first place) and it started puttering, as I let it run it got worst and worst to the point where it puttered so much the engine died out and now it won't start. The check engine light came on a few minutes after starting it, i've never seen that light on my car, now I'm so sad that I ****** up my car like a bafoon. Does anyone know what might have happened exactly, obviously water got into something but I want to know where, how, and the price/ difficulty of fixing it. 2000 honda civic dx
