I just bought a car yesterday for $4700 after taxes, but something inside me I just got a fair deal. I was looking at KBB and it seems about an average price range. Not too cheap, not too expensive. I'm the type of person that likes to buy items at exceedingly cheap price (at least 50% of average price).
Please tell me what you think, on a scale of 1-10, 0 being the worst deal possible and 10 being the best deal possible.
Here are some background information:
-2004 Honda Civic Hybrid Sedan.
-$4700 final price (after taxes & fees)
-From a dealership, though they seem reluctant to sell it.
-180,000 miles total
-No mechanical issues, no interior issues, only a single scratch at the back of the car.
-The stop and go pedal makes moderate squeaky noises, though the brakes were replaced at 140,000 miles.
-New tires (not sure when)
-New hybrid battery replacement at 140,000 miles (still looks full)
-Relatively well maintained, with an average oil and filter change of 4000 miles.
Overall, it is a good functional car. What I'm asking is do you think the price was cheap? And at what absolute minimum price do you think I could have gotten for the car (after taxes & fees)?
