What would be a good first car for me?

I'm 18 and I'm thinking about doing my driving test and buying a car. I just don't want to get a Nissan Micra or Renault Clio or anything. I wanted to get a car like the 1995 Honda Civic Saloon or any nice Japanese import saloon. I wouldn't buy one of those cars and put a big exhaust on it or a spoiler or anything, I just like those cars. The thing is, all those cars are 1.5 litre engines and over but I'd need a 1.0 or lower, and a cheap car (€1,000 - 4,000) for a first car. What can I do?

05 honda civic ex special edition, hiding places?

I recently bought a 05 honda civic ex special edition. I was told by a friend to buy wheel lock lug nuts. To prevent anything from happening, since its common car on the road. He advised me to find a good hiding spot in the car to place the key for the lug nuts. Does any one know of any place in the car i can put the key? I tried looking around my self but could not come up with anything.

Check engine light is still on?

I have a 2002 Honda Civic. I got gas this past Friday morning and everything was fine. Then I was driving yesterday (Saturday) afternoon and my check engine light came on. I called my Dad and he said check the gas cap. I tightened the gas cap and then continued driving. My dad also checked my gas cap and tightened it for 3 clicks and took it for a drive and the light was still on. It is now Sunday and my check engine light is still on. My car is running perfectly fine there seems to be nothing else wrong with it and I'm not due for an oil change for another 3,000 miles. Could there possibly be something else wrong with my car? Is there a way that the gas cap can be overly tightened?

Manuel Car totally scared to drive it

My parents bought me an 09 honda civic but its manuel I love the car its wonderful and I'm grateful but I tried driving it and of course i did terrible but now i'm literally afraid to drive it on the main road because I'm afraid of stulling out, I'm also afraid of going at a red light and then someone ramming into me if i stall out, do any of you who drive manual love it? Have any of you had bad experiences?

1998 Honda civic dx jerks while driving?

I recently bought a 1998 Honda Civic DX 5 speed. When I get to around 3-4 thousand rpm ( guessing the car doesn't have a rpm gauge ) the car starts to like shake and jerk. Also when I'm in neutral and let out on the clutch it makes a grinding like noise. Where I bought it told me it was a throw out bearing but me and my friend replaced it and it's still making the noise

Idling issues with a 97 Honda Civic DX?

Ok so i have a 97 civic dx, d16y7 motor, and i'm having problems with my idling.
when the car sits in park it sounds like someone is hitting the gas and letting go and constantly does, when in drive there's no problem. I went to the pick n pull to get another IACV, but it does the same thing. I cleaned my old and new one and i've also cleaned the tb. The car still runs but this bugs me and i really want to be able to fix it. Any help would be appreciated.

Subaru Impreza Turbo 2000 or Honda Civic type R?

Thinking of selling my car to get something a bit more nippy and narrowed it down to these two options. So in your opinion what would be best to get overall in terms of performace out of these two cars? (Assuming they are similar price/mileage)

Subaru Impreza turbo 2000- (not wrx)
Honda Civic Type R- (2001-2005 model)

Both stock engines with no upgrades.

Mercedes Benz or honda civic?

I have a 1997 honda civic. 135k. Very reliable. Has a si swap and conversion. Then their this mercedes benz I want to get. I got a hook up on it so the price I sent what I'm worried about. It is th 2003 c230 sedan. It's 6 speed manual. Only has 95k. Kompressor and supercharged. Should I stay with honda? What's the pros and cons? Is mercedes reliable and cost efficient like the honda? Is it worth it?
