Steering wheel jerks when turning?

I have a '95 Honda Civic LX that runs great except for when I turm the steering wheel. It jerks really hard and the tires snatch but then it goes back to normal. What could be wrong with it?

How much for a Honda engine swap?

I have a 98 honda civic that threw a rod threw the block and oil pan… How much would it cost to put in a new engine? Meaning labor+parts at the shop… I really wanted a bigger engine but was told I had to stick with the 4cyl, is this true? Or could I squeeze a v6 in there?

Where to buy car parts online?

I have a 2008 Honda Civic 2 door. I need a new driver side front fender, and also a front bumper. Both need to be silver. What's the best website to order these parts, and for an affordable price?

How much can I sell my 1995 Honda Civic LX for?

It has a new water pump, timing belt, spark plugs, belts, hoses, headlights, and hood. It needs a speed sensor, belt and pulley for the A/C, CV Joints, and speakers. The car runs great, I drive it daily back and forth to work and around town. It gets about 32 mpg on the highway. The inside it's all cracked and busted, I took care of it so it only has carpet stains. The front seats are in great condition but the sticking in the back is coming loose so the needs to be redone but it's not torn anywhere. 91 Civic Wobbly Steering Wheel and Wheels?

Suspension problem on a 91 Honda Civic Hatchback? Ever since I purchased the vehicle second hand in 2003, there has always been that wobbly feel when driving at low speeds (mainly in the alley's where the road is not smooth). In 2003 the shock and springs were changed along with some new tires and the wobble was still there, although over time, the wobble is greater and I do notice that the inner side of the tire is worn out more, but when replacing them with new tires, the wobble is still there.

I have had 3 different mechanics checked (one was even a tire place) and no one can find issues with the bushings or anything with the front end suspension. I have checked online and read that to check bushings, ball joints and even replace the tires. Keep in mind, I have no wobbling when I'm driving on smooth surfaces (main streets and even at freeway speeds as long as there's no gravel type roads).

My car is lowered about 1 to 2 inches, but the wobbling was even there before it was lowered. There are types where I'm driving on the street and there's that "bump" (not speed bumps, but more skinner road imperfections as if there was a weight lifting bar on the road) that I will drive over at 40 mph and boom, you even hear inside the car as if my shocks aren't working, but all three mechanics say my shocks are good.

So yes, I'm a little lost right now on why my wheels and steering wheel feels and sounds loose when driving slowly in the alleys or gravel type roads.

94 Honda Civic smoke when deep in the throttle?

Found a honda on craigslist i'm considering trading for but he says the car smokes when you're "deep in the throttle" and i'm wanting to know what could cause this? 30K on the motor and i'm assuming it's not when the VTEC engages otherwise i would know what it was. I can ask him what color the smoke is if anyone needs to know that. I'm hoping it could be something other than the rings but i'm thinking it might be that they didn't seat right after they built it (which i guess they did do since the post says "30k on build") Anyway, all help is appreciated.

First car: buying old vs Leasing new?

So i'm getting a car soon and i'm 19 i have about $4500 saved up from work. That could buy me a (sort of) old car right there (2004ish), but my parents are willing to help me out some. I'm looking at honda civics.

but my parents are insisting on me LEASING a BRAND NEW car. I have a few concerns with that:
1. Let's be real: i'll probably get in a wreck sometime over the 3year. Lease, and that's gonna cost a fortune
2. I don't even want a brand new car. I don't drive that much - only to work and to college (which is like 300 miles away) but once i'm at college i only return for holidays, so driving the nicest car isn't the most important thing to me.

here's what my parents have against old cars:
1. "unsafe"
2. Gonna break down

their second point is pretty valid but either way i'm looking at something like a honda civic which is proven to be reliable. They might not help me out if i choose to buy an old car because they are so against it.

which do you think makes more sense

Added (1). lol i have a job and i'm a 4.0 engineering student so
