Why does my 2007 Honda Civic use so much gas?

I bought this car from my dad, it has 135,000 miles, and it is guzzling gas. I went through a quarter of a tank by just driving around town when my dad uses much less than that to drive to work and back which is about 100 miles. It is well maintained, and i just don't know the problem. Do people still do tune ups, maybe that is what i need. I'm not sure someone please give me suggestions.

Is there like a clutch fluid or something?

How far will 15% oil get me on my 2013 Honda Civic?

The oil life in my car is at 15% right now, but I have a trip this week and I wanted to see if I could put off the oil change until I got home. If I would be okay going about 550 miles that would be fine. Just a standard 2013 Civic Sedan.

Is flipping cars a good way to make money?

I plan on not having to go to college after I graduate highschool to avoid being in debt for most of my life. I'm trying to figure out several ways to make good cash without having to physically go to work. And flipping cars was one of my ideas. Lets say I buy a stock Honda Civic and tune it up, add some parts to it, and then selling it for more. Would I be making good money?
