Okay, I have $27k saved up. Don't want to buy a new car or spend more than $10k.
I drove car couple times recently, i think I will be a average driver or not so bad driver.
I have been looking to buy a car (I need a car real bad to go to work).
which one do you think i should buy?
2008 honda civic ex coupe with 66000 miles on it in very good condition for $9k?
or
2009 smart fortwo with 29k miles on it for $6k
Your opinion and guidance will be truly appreciated. Thank you.
IF YOU HAVE TIME:
1].california registration fees is too much, i don't want to keep spending on buying and selling cheap cars + registration fees= good car, one time investment for long period of time.
2]. Car should be good on gas, and safe to drive. My life is important than money
3]. In city and highway (if renting for a long trip is a better option to owning smart fortwo)?
4]. If you are working how often can you go on a long drive so that you need a big vehicle?
5]. Smart fortwo is not safe to drive on highways
6]. Great deal on honda civic with only 66k miles, kbb value is $12k. A very good, safe and reliable car
7]. OMG just love this CUTEEE little smart fortwo car, a car that I always wanted. With 34/39 MPG.
these are what making me undecissive.
I have a pretty basic car issue. I have a 2001 honda civic 4 door. The front passenger window broke a while ago and it is stuck in the up position (completely closed). We recently got a window regulator to fix the issue. When we attempted to take out the old regulator, there was no easy way for us to get the actual window off the regulator. The 10 mm bolts holding the window to the regulator is right behind the top of the door frame, right about where someone would rest their arm. I was unable to reach the bolts with an extension or pliers.
Is there away to get the window off the regulator without taking off the metal door part? I was trying to force thw window down so the bolts could be reached through the holes already provided, but was unsucessful with that too.
Would like to be able to fix the window without being ripped off by a mechanic so let me know if you guys have dealt with this issue before.
Yesterday i accidentally pulled a spark plug wire while he engine was idling so my engine cut off. Now it won't start. None of my plugs or distributor is sparking when i do the lil screwdriver and ground test. Wat did i mess up? Lol
Is it clockwise or counter clockwise?
I just did a a motor swap on my 2000 honda civic ex and it won't start I took out my old motor and put in a mini me swap I really don't know much about motors but the car cranks over and I don't know if its the ecu that I have to change or the timing is of but the motor I put in has a y7 block with a y8 head can some one please give me some type of an idea on what could be wrong
I have a 2002 Honda Civic. Less than a year ago I got the head gasket replaced/repaired. Ever since then, when I fill my oil up and drive for a few weeks, the oil is low to almost empty with no signs of oil leaking anywhere. I got my oil changed on the 2nd of June and today, the 28th, its practically empty again. What could cause this? I have also bought a bottle of Lucas Engine Oil Stop Leak
I'm trying to lower my 93 honda civic. What is the best way in your opinion. Please give links (if possible) for the best parts to use, etc.
The unit had been making a noise prior to it seizing. No fault light came up on dash i parked up where i could, i'm wondering if is it safe to drive home next day?
What I mean is are there people still creating new motors that are not directly from honda for the classic civics?
