Problems with lower back pain from honda civic?
I recently bought a used 2012 Honda Civic, the car runs great and I really like the car. The only problem I'm having i lower back pain while driving. I noticed the seats seem hard and stiff with little lumbar support. I have adjusted the seat and even tried putting an kool kushion airflex full seat cover, but made no difference.
Is there a way I can open up the driver seat and add a lumbar pillow between the metal framing and seat cover?
Also can you remove the white adjustable lumbar support from inside the car seat? How do open the car seat to do this?
Put a seat cushion on the seat so you are seating straight. It helped me with the same situation you are having now. Available at car parts stores and computer shops. IT guys also have the same problems.
Have a doctor examine your back to determine what help you need. You might get advice from an auto reupholsterer about modifying the seat or replacing it altogether.
- On my 2001 Honda 300ex, I'm replacing the lower steering bearing. How far in does it go until fully seated? I can't seem to get it any farther than flush with the top of the seat. I've tapped it in with a same size socket and it won't go any farther, but it seems like there's still room… How far in does it go?
