Should I get the 2015 Honda Civic with the CVT or the manual transmission?
I'm sort of afraid of the CVT because people have said its a slug to drive.
Why don't you take them both out for a test drive - that's what it's for. Don't listen to 'people' - find out for yourself. It won't cost anything.
The best way is going for a test drive to see how you like the way it shift, next is the maintenance and complaints and/ or cost of repair etc. My guess is there won't be any manual transmission available after 2020. I'll look into my data base and send the article later to you.

Guess that's enough information for you to read before a test drive.
If the manual is a 6 speed that would be the best choice but you are better off to test drive both to compare.
- Transmission going out on friend's 2004 Impala. Is it possible to install a manual transmission taken from a 1992 Honda Civic in this car? Not worth replacing trans on a car this old, but the engine and everything else are still perfect. My friend was able to get a free manual trans from a 1992 Honda Civic. But i'm not sure whether or not you can use a trans from a different vehicle
- Do you think CVT transmission is bad? I'm truly in love with the 2017 Honda CR-V except for the CVT. I've heard so many horror stories about it that I may buy another car because of it. So do you think CVT is bad or am I worried for nothing?
- Thinking of buying a 2019 honda civic coupe but i'm worried how reliable the cvt transmission is? I want to buy a basic honda civic coupe. I want the 2 door because i think it looks cute. But i'm worried how relaible is that cvt transmssion? I want to last atleast 150k miles?
- Should I just buy a Honda civic hatchback LX CVT or lease it? It's pretty inexpensive compared to other cars, but I don't know about wanting to drive it for a long time. How much am I "losing" compared to buying if I lease it? It's around $2000 down and $180~ a month for 36 months + return fee, etc. If I do end up purchasing it at the end of the lease contract, I wouldn t lose as much right? If I do buy I have $4000 for the down and the APR is 2.7-2.99%.
