Still confused about 2002 Honda Civic overheating and need some opinions on what could be the problem?

2002 Honda Civic overheating, still! I haven't driven the car since I got the radiator replaced and even with that the car overheated after I got in the highway for apprxmtly 30min. Funny thing is after I filled it coolant and I drove it for 45 min and didn't go over 45moh and The car did not overhear. I left it with the mechanic to continue checking it and they told me the car didn't overhear either but I know if I take it on that highway it'll overhear. What could be the problem!

if the car is overheating at highway speeds the head gasket is bad. Or the water pump is about to go Hi so having replaced the radiator did you replace the radiator cap. I bet not that is the usual reason one overheats as the spring which maintains pressure in the system is the most likely cause of the problem. Todays cars coolant systems run at a much higher temperature not at 100 degrees c boiling point of water or coolant by at a 120 degrees C the is done by means of a higher pressure in the system so any leaks will cause the engine to over heat. So a 15 pounds radiator cap keeps the system pressurised and increases the temperater e to 122 degrees C. After all it is a japanese car with european engine specs. The first thing to do would have been replace the thermostat. Then get the cooling temperature sensor for the computer tested. Have you run the motor for 15 minutes with the radiator cap off to see if there's still air in the cooling system? The water pump impeller may be lose on the pulley shaft. It's either the water pump or the thermostat

  • Physics problem…so confused?! A Porsche challenges a Honda to a 400 m race. Because the Porsche's acceleration of 3.4 m/s2 is larger than the Honda's 3.0 m/s2, the Honda gets a 100 m head start - it is only 300 m from the finish line. Assume, somewhat unrealistically, that both cars can maintain these accelerations the entire distance. a) Who wins the race? A. Porsche B. Honda C. They finish at the same time D. It is impossible to determine Please explain the process of solving this problem in detail.
  • Want to install better car stereo but am confused how to make sure what I buy will fit into my car? Confused? I want to install a new stereo system in my car and see those cars out there with the big screens on their stereos and I want something like that, but I have a 1993 honda civic and am honestly confused on how I would buy something like that and it would fit into the dash of my car. Do I have to buy something the exact same size? Do they come with speakers too? Can anyone give me any ideas on where to start. I'm really confused.
  • Why is my 1998 Honda civic lx still overheating? I've replaced the thermostat, water pump, timing belt, flushed the radiator and done a coolant test to check for gasses and all is good. The fan is wire up so it automatically comes on when ignition is turned on and is blowing the correct way. Do I need to try a new radiator cap or radiator? Engine light is on but it's for a 02 sensor. Any help is appreciated.
  • Some kind of pressure release and fog came from my 2008 Honda Civic. What could it be? So my car wouldn't start this morning, mot even the power locks. AAA came out and said it looks to only be a dead battery but, with the car still running, there was a loud sound like a pressure being released and a fog came out from under the car. My wife said it smelled like freon from the air conditioner. What could that be?
