Transmission flush for 2009 honda civic hybrid?
I have a 2009 honda civic hybrid and it has 102,000 miles on it i'm the 2nd owner and i want to do a transmission flush on it. So do i just need to do a trasmission flush or drain and refile the trasnmission fluid please help me thanks
Transmission flushes are never necessary and always a bad idea.
Just drain and change the filter and transmission oil. Flushes aren't necessary and can cause damage.
Thank you for your answer
Just drain it and put new fluid in it, and a filter if it uses one.
"The transmission should be drained and refilled with new fluid when this service is indicated by a maintenance message on the information display."

- Should I have a mechanic inspect the car I'm about to purchase (2009 honda civi hybrid - 52K miles)? It is at wheels and deals. I do not know if they check out the cars or allow inspections. I know nothing about cars. Should I have a shop inspect it? Or is it okay not to do since I'm buying from wheels and deals and the car has very low miles?
- 2009 Honda Fit or 2009 Honda Civic? My grandma is getting a new car. She has had a black 1995 jetta for years now. She wants to get a honda. What would you think would be good for an old lady? Should it not be a honda?
- Transmission? 2009 Honda Civic Hybrid? My car does not move while on Drive gear. Ok so the mechanic checked my car yesterday and he said it was the transmission. How can I know if it really is the transmission or he's just telling me that to rip me off? He had the car on the jack yesterday and I could see the wheels spinning. Do the wheels still spin if the axle is broken? What can be the failure on my car?
- Roughly how much could I get from selling my hybrid car with a dead hybrid battery? I have a 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid with about 175k miles. I'm the second owner and there's nothing else wrong with it besides the dead hybrid battery. The battery is very expensive to replace and it's honestly just more of a financially smart decision to sell it rather than spending about 2,000 on a new battery. I just want to know what is a decent price to let it go for considering the hybrid battery is dead ultimately making it useless until replaced.
