Do you need to warm up car before use?

I have a 2011 Honda civic ex. Worried about driving without warming up the car. Want to make car last long.

Give it about 45 secs then drive it VERY GENTLY until its warmed up.

Agreeing with Anonymous; the best thing you can do is drive off, gently, shortly after starting the car.

No.

When you start the car wait till all the warning lights go off. Then drive off. Don't be harsh with the gas. Or the brakes. The other tip for you. Oil and oil filter change at regular intervals also use "wynns" engine flush. Cam belt change as per honda schedule.

Not anymore than 30 to 60 seconds, tops, regardless of whether conditions. Any time longer would simply burn and waste more fuel than necessary.

No, by the time you have moved it into gear and taken the park brake off it's good to go.

Just drive sensibly until it warms up, like only 1/2 revs and throttle, which is normal sensible driving anyway.

Put the ebrake down, put in gear, put your seatbelt on, plug your phone in, answer texts, and you should be good to go.

And give a minute before revving the nuts out of it.

No. Just don't drive it hard until engine warms up. Still get in, start it up, and go. Why waste any fuel just sitting there?
