What are the requirements for Viper Smart Start?
I Have a 2000 Honda Civic Ex. And i'm thinking about getting the viper smart start, because i like and and i would really get a joy out of it. But i don't know what year cars it works on, is a 2000 to old? Or does it work for any car? And i have a check engine light on will that have any affect on it because my car runs fine.
Why don't you just google the Viper web page? I'm sure they have the stats there that will tell you what it can work on.
I'm sure it could work on a car "as old" as 2000. Don't see why not. Actually not that much difference in electronics, just that most cars now have a working viewscreen stuck in the dash.
Otherwise, i don't see a problem with it working in your car.
Hondas are very good cars, so should work pretty easily.
- How much of a problem did Hondas have with there push to start feature failing to let their cars start? I have heard some people say Honda had a problem with this. Was it just a few Hondas or was it a big problem?
- My 1983 Honda nighthawk 650 won't start with the electric start? I recently replaced the ignition coils because the old ones were getting heat soaked and the bike would die, however now the bike won't start with the electric start it turns over fin and the starter sounds fine but it won't start occasionally it ll start when it's cold or try to but I've been having to bump start it in order to ride it. So what's making it do this? Could it be the kill switch? Or something else?
- How Strict is Illinois on it's Motorcycle Engine CC license requirements? I was doing my research and found that for motorcycles/scooters anything less than 150cc requires a class L license and anything over 150cc requires a class M in the state of Illinois. I was looking at the Honda PCX150, which based on Honda's specs, has a 153cc engine in it. Now I know that's over the 150 mark, but I was curious if anyone know from experience if the Illinois DMV is willing to let 3cc slip and allow it to be operated under a class L license.
- I have a Honda HRX217 push mower. Backfired when trying to start it, now it won't start? It was running, then I shut it off to open and close a gate, and when I went to start it again there was a really loud backfire and now it won't start. It will sound like it's almost about to start but not. Then get progressively weaker each pull. I changed the spark plug and cleaned the air filter. Any ideas?
