What is a good second car?

I'm an 18 year old male. I'm a pre-med student and commute to college four days a week. My daily driver is a 2014 Honda civic due to its good gas mileage. However, I would like a second car which is a little more fun to drive and something I can drive around town and with my friends. Before you go calling me out on how it's a bad financial choice, I just want to say I can easily afford it. My wealthy uncle, who sadly passed away, left me more than enough money to fund the entirety of my college career, and I have a decent enough paying job to cover everything else. Now, to get to the point, I would like a relatively fast car, but it doesn't need to be super fast. I would like it to be luxurious, and preferably a convertible. The newer the better. It would be a plus if it had back seats, but it's not that important. I would also like it to be under $25,000. And not to sound too snobby, but I prefer prestigious brands. My first car was my mom's old BMW 760li, but due to the fact I didn't have a job at the time, the cost of gas and insurance forced me to trade it in for a more fuel efficient ride. While I loved the car, I would prefer something smaller and more "Summer-esque."

Added (1). I think you guys misunderstood me. I'm not using my uncles money for the car. I would be using the money I'm currently making. The only reason I brought up my uncle's money was to make the point that I do not have other monetary obligations.

Get rid of your Honda civic, there are plenty of COOL cars that have great mpg.
Get rid of your civic and take a look at the 2014 VW beetle. Good mpg but still $25000 and looks like a mini Porsche! What is a good second car

Man, you can afford this CHRYSLER 300 series from Texas Direct ( PHONE---832-947-9946)! It looks incredible for its price! Ebay.com MOTORS for more

Just trade in your car for a BMW, or better yet something fun to drive but still fuel efficient like a Mini Cooper S, Ford Focus ST, Honda Civic Si, or Fiat 500 Abarth convertible. Why would you waste your money on insuring and maintaining 2 cars when you don't actually need it? Believe it or not I was in the exact same situation when my grandfather passed away, I decided not to touch the money that I got and reserve it for something that I actually need and I still have my $3000 Civic

Having money to blow is no reason to blow money. If you do not enjoy the brand new car you now have, trade it in. One Hollywood nineteen year female star with a fat check blew one million dollars in one year on clothes, parties, shoes, jewelry, etc. Just because she had the money. She went bankrupt. You are a typical teenager with money in the pocket. One car is not enough because you have money. The concept of "daily driver" is being used to rationalize this "second" car. You have my answer. This is beyond foolish like having 42 pair of shoes. Find ONE car that meets your needs. No one here can define that for you. You bought one car and then you changed your mind. I can warranty this is going to happen again and again as long as you have money to blow.

Ok to start and you do not need to take this advice but think about it. Say your uncle has left you 500,000.
start this cut the cash in 4th then put 1/4 of it in a cd or other high yealding account, pay some of your daily or yearly needs out (blance your check book or debit acc). This should leave you alnoust half the 500 g over now look for a nice litle car i like the mini copper it is fun and you can get 4 ppl in it should coust about 5000 to get a good used one look around. I hope i have helped you and rember that you are only a good doctor when you care for the paintes

If money is no object, why did you buy the Honda Civic instead of a Corvette, Camaro or Mustang GT? You will be paying more to have two vehicles than you would save on gas driving the Civic to school. Double the cost plus double the Insurance.

  • My Honda S2000 Clutch pedal thumps as I press down on it as if it gets stuck for a quick second. Why? I think it got worse, not when I try to Press all the way down on the gas on the free way to go fast, the RPMs shoot way faster and the MPH moves very very slowly? Any ideas?
  • Planning to buy a second hand bike? This is my first bike. Also i'm a short guy. 5 feet 2 inches. I have chosen some bikes. Please help me choose the good one $ Pulsar 135 ls $ Honda Stunner $Honda Twister $ Suzuki Slingshot Any other bikes in your suggestion. Less weight and short
  • Looking for a second hand first bike? I'm currently thinking between the Yamaha DT 125R and Honda CG 125. I'm a heavy bloke but not really big, 19 stone and 5'11. The lower looking CG (for my weight), reliability, cost etc of the honda is appealing to me, as it needs to be cheap and bombproof, but the yamaha has more power to shift my weight to-from work, and is offroad, making me assume its better in the snow and with hills (i live in the area around barnsley, and will be travelling about an hour to work)
  • Is it ok to take off from second gear on my motorcycle? I ride a small honda cbr 125 and first gear is extremely short would there be anything wrong with starting from second gear from a stop instead of first?
