What is the best way to polish black paint on a car?
I have a black 2006 Honda civic si. I recently purchased turtle wax for black paint. It comes in a spray bottle. Today I washed the car, dryed it off with a sponge-like rage called "the absorber". It looks like a shammy, but it's sort of spongey and rubbery. I've had good experiences with this rag in the past. I parked the car in the garage to let it cool off, then I applied the turtle wax spray using one side of a microfiber cloth to rub it on, then turning it over and polishing it off. I own an orbital buffer, but haven't used it in a few years. My goal is to get the swirls out of the clear coat and add a shine to it. My last car was green and I would wax it with a compound, once every year so. I'm seeing that it is quite difficult to keep black paint clean, as it shows everything. Please tell me your ideas, tips, tricks, do's and don't's. Much appreciated!
I shared a video this will help you to know the best way to polish black paint.
Swirl remover and a pro buffer. Or else a lot of time and rubbing and fuss and worry.
a detailer can do it in a few minutes, and did you know they have car detailer shops at some of the goodwill stores now?
If you bring the buffing compounds in stages that swirls require they can do the labor… Sort of. But 20 bucks is alot cheaper than a pro detailing shop.
There's no good way that i have found. My old roadrunner looks dirty 20 minutes after its been cleaned black is just a terrible color to keep looking good
If you own a black car, they can show up dirt and finger marks more so than any other car colour out there today.
They need that special touch to keep them gleaming and protected and we often get asked "what is the best car polish for my black car?" so we can help you with that one.
If you get your product right, you can bring black cars looking like new again - simply stunning results.
x1 shine and seal paint protectionFirstly let's get one things straight - car polishes usually have a slight abrasive in them that takes away a minuscule amount of your paintwork whenever you use them - this is like removing the dead skin.
Car waxes do not contain that abrasive and are used for protection only and used to increase shine but you should be aware that these waxes do melt so it will not last forever on your cars paintwork.
- Should I paint over a bad tear in my bumper, or order a new one and have the mechanics install it then have them paint it? I recently bought a used 1997 Honda Prelude. It's red and badly sun faded and has a bad tear on the rear bumper. I was wondering whether I should just have it painted over or order a whole new bumper and have the people at the shop install it and paint it for me. Any suggestions?
- What's the best way to remove paint off of motorcycle fairings? I just purchased a 2015 Honda CB300F and I love it. My only issue is that the previous owner had spray painted the side fairings white, and now the paint is chipping off. All together it was a pretty sloppy job. I was thinking of maybe using a paint remover, but would that damage the plastic?
- Can you Polish a motorcycle engine? I have a 2008 Honda VTX 1300r and I want to polish the air fins on the motor to make it look not so dull compared to the rest of the bike. Any ideas or links to help me out? Thanks in advance guys and gals kinda like this--->
- What's the best way to start removing paint on a car? So I just bought a Honda civic (used off crag's list) and I want to paint it flat green, no gloss or anything. I want to (at least try) to do it on my own, Not sure if ill paint it myself but I want to strip the paint and lay the primer. However I'm not sure what's the best way to start. And what's faster to remove the paint and clear coat.
