What's causing the swishing noise coming from my 2008 Honda Civic Coupe?

I have a 2008 Honda Civic EX Coupe. Just installed new brakes and rotors throughout. They mentioned my calipers will need to be replaced in the next year, but they couldn't identify exactly the issue creating the swishing noise coming from the wheels.

The shop did a poor job adjusting the brakes so take it back for adjustment. The shop already has your money so they want you to just go away.Too bad ASE does not have a toll free complaint line so you can report the shop. Does the shop have ASE certificates on the wall and banners and uniform patches?

Replacing just the rotors and pads with old worn out calipers is a bad idea. The wheel was apart that was the ideal time now it has to be repeated. The old calipers will ruin the new parts so the best option is emergency caliper installation.Cars require money to operate that includes proper service.

  • Weird whistling noise coming from my ATV engine? So i have a honda 250ex, and today whenever i would give it gas, i would here a strange whistling noise coming from the cylinder block in the engine. When in neutral the sound was not heard. I never heard this sound before and it made me a little nervous. Just wondering if there's a problem with it or if i need to replace something.
  • We have a 2006 Honda CBR. When you drive it, there's a loud whirring noise coming the back underneath side. What could cause that noise? The noise is situated around a CV boot on the left underneath side where the differential connects to the middle.
  • What does a noise coming from steering wheel of a 2011 Honda civic mean? The noise is coming from the inside of the car. It is right by the steering wheel. Every time i move the steering wheel even slightly it makes a slight faint noise. The steering wheel turns fine and is not stiff. The noise is definitely inside basically when I'm driving a slightly turning the wheel.
  • What can be causing this noise in my car? I have a 2008 honda civic si, when i make sharp turns at a decent speed i hear a noise of metal that seems to be grinding. Sometimes while I'm just cruising i hear it as well, and it SOUNDS as if its coming from the wheels, not the engine. Also, one time, there was a HORRIBLE noise that came from my right tire that sounded like metal was making FULL contact with my break disc, but my breaks are still good. Any idea what this could be? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
