What to do in this car situation?
Ok so I'm a 16year old male clean record. And I got my license a couple of months ago. I've been promised a car since last year and unfortunately my dad hasn't been able to afford one. I'm running inpatient I need to Learn how to drive manual transmission. School starts in a month and learning stick is hard. So What should I do either wait until my dad can afford to buy me a decent $6k car like a scion tc or should I buy a cheap $2 Honda civic coupe like year 1997. He said I have to wait 3 or more month's to get a scion tc. I really just want to learn manual transmission
You have to wait a whole whopping three months before getting the car you want? Just cool your jets and wait, Alex. Buying a beater Civic to title, register and insure prior to that would not be a good approach. Just wait.
If it's putting a strain on your dads budget you should be understanding and not impatient. Give him a break and quit just thinking of yourself.
Why waste money on a beater if you can get a better quality car by waiting? You won't get what you put into it back anyway, and learning stick isn't difficult, it just takes patience.
Work with your dad by maybe suggesting slightly cheaper options. So what if you're stuck riding the cheese wagon or getting a ride from a parent? You'll have a car you and your parents agree is a safe, reliable mode of transportation.
- Will a car dealership work with me if I'm gonna lease a new car, while trading in the car I have, which has an outstanding loan against it? The car I have now has a loan against it which is worth more than the trade in value of the car by about $5000. If me and a family member were BOTH looking to lease a new car (so 2 new cars), does anyone know if a dealership will be working to work with me in any way? Also the cars looking to be leased are not high end or luxury cars, they d be coming from a dealership like Honda, Toyota, or Subaru.
- I need some advice on a horse trailer situation? My dad has just bought a Honda CR-V. It can tow up to 2 tonnes. We're looking to buy a horse trailer but we're not sure about whether to get a single or double trailer. Could our car tow a double trailer with 2 15hh horses in it? Or if needs be, we would get a single one as we only have 1 horse anyway, but a double one would be more suitable but we don't mind.
- Can stock car parts of a newer car go into an older car? Have a 2011 suzuki sx4 not driveable. Driving around a 99 honda crv. is it possible to put the deck of the suzuki (already removed) and place into the crv? The speakers are the same size i'm thinking about those as well but is that much of an upgrade?; I can't find the power of the stock speakers to both cars. Thank you, I had a system in suzuki i removed wanting to put in my crv.
- What would be the cost of car insurance in my situation? I'm 18 turning 19 in a few months, I recently got my G2 and I'm considering on buying a 05 honda civic.
