What will make my honda civic a little louder?

I just bought a 1991 Honda civic Ex coupe. It's almost perfect condition. I'm not looking for a huge increase in sound when driving.

My friend bought a $40 muffler for his suburban and it sounds like a really really nice loud, but not too loud. It's that truck sound loud.

Is there something similar for a honda? Not something too loud or too expensive. Just a minor difference. But if you think it is a bad idea, please let me know.

Cutting the exhaust. But why dump parts into a Honda haha? Roll with the big boys!

Few things sound as dumb as a 4 cyl with pipes.

To be honest, piping a stock Civic to be louder is dumb. Anyone over the age of 16 will not be impressed and anyone into actual motorsports will be laughing at you.

If you want to build a track car, build a track car, but playing pretend racer on the street puts you in the same boat as wannabe suburban gangster rappers and big city wannabe rednecks.

Just saying what I believe. If you don't like it, don't listen.

Sure you need to look at aftermarket mufflers & exhaust. Look at Dynomax or flowmaster, but there are many to choose from, try to find a local "speed" shop. A shop which specializes in performance parts, in my state we have Big Al's Toy Box.
